Conestoga Girls to play College Soccer in 2008
Three seniors from Conestoga High School will play soccer in college next fall. The three girls pictured are part of this year's State Championship Pioneer team. All three of these girls started through the local TEYSA soccer program, which has been building its reputation for producing top soccer talent for years. These three seniors were the leaders of this special Conestoga team that broke through and won it all. Katie Frey was the goalie who gave up very few goals and recorded numerous shutouts, Laura Klebe was the leader of one of the best defenses in the state and Carly Niness was one of the most talented and dangerous offensive players in the area and was voted the most valuable player in the league.
In the fall of '08 Laura Klebe will play for the University of Delaware, Katie Frey will play at George Mason University and Carly Niness will be playing both soccer and running track for Penn State. Congratulations to the girls for their leadership of the State Champion Conestoga high school soccer team and good luck to them as they continue on into top Division One college soccer programs beginning next year!
