|INFO FOR CONF MANAGERS|
TEYSA offers intramural soccer for players in kindergarten through 12th grade. Players must be 5 years old or older by September 1, 2015, and live in or attend school in Tredyffrin or Easttown township. Our club is affiliated with the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) and its parent organization, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). TEYSA programs are not-for profit. Our purpose is to provide all youngsters who love soccer a chance to play. Players who are in need of financial assistance for the season may request this by email to the TEYSA President. One of our goals is to not have to turn away any child from the program for financial reasons.
Intramural Team Placement Policy
TEYSA is dedicated to providing a high quality soccer experience for all children enrolled in the program. It is with this in mind that the following policy has been adopted to ensure that intramural teams are built as evenly and equitably as possible: requests for players to be assigned to a specific team or with another player or to a specific coach will be accepted ONLY with an emailed letter detailing the need for this request. The letter must contain specific documentation as to why the request is being made. The letter is to be forwarded to the Registrar. All letters will be reviewed by the TEYSA Board of Directors for subsequent approval or denial. Letters failing to demonstrate need (rather than convenience) will not be approved. Requests made without submission of a letter outlining the need for the request will not be honored.
The 2015 season begins September 5th with practices starting the week before that. The season concludes by mid-November, depending on the grade level.
Teams from kindergarten through sixth grade will practice once per week and play one game per week on Saturday. The practice night depends on what evening your coach selects. The practice will last about one hour and will begin between 5:30pm and 6:30pm depending on your coach. Games last between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on the grade your child is in. Games fields and practice fields are assigned according to grade and are either TESD fields or Township fields.
For grades 7-12 there are no practices, only games. The games take place on Saturdays and somtimes on a Sunday. Fields and season are the same as above.
