Qualifications

As a community soccer club, we are proud to have boys and girls in grades 6-12 serve as referees in our intramural program. Our youth referees serve as mentors for our younger players, and they are encouraged to take time to explain the rules and allow players to correct mistakes.

 

Background Checks

The state of Pennsylvania requires several background checks for those who will be working with children. All referees turning 14 or older during the Fall season must submit background check documents.

• Complete a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check which is valid for 5 years. Pick the "New Record Check (Volunteers Only)" link.
• Complete a Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance which is valid for 5 years.
• Review the Kids Safe Brochure
• Review the Mandatory Reporting Obligations

 

Referee Registration

• The PA Criminal Record Check and Abuse History Clearance can not be any older than 8/1/2016 for the 2021 registration
• Complete the TEYSA Referee Registration using the above clearances as needed
